Tatum by Randstad is working with a fast-growing local client in seeking a Director of Accounting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in public accounting, and have a growth mindset. This role is fully onsite.
The Director guides and supervises the Accounting & Compliance team\'s work, and will provide expertise within the team on accounting and compliance topics

responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Manages Accounting & Compliance team members.
- Serves on Senior Management team.
- Provides expertise in government grant accounting
- Trains team members and supports them with various accounting and compliance scenarios.
- Performs direct client-facing work for accounting engagements, such as equity accounting, indirect rate negotiation, etc.
- Conducts internal review of Staff and Senior Accountant work products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA required
- 15+ years of accounting experience
- Public accounting experience required, Big 4 experience a plus
- 5+ years of managerial experience
- Deep understanding of government grant requirements across award mechanisms
- Expertise in equity accounting preferred
