Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of twelve commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities

Summary:

Director Government Pricing & Contracts is responsible for the calculation and analysis of product pricing associated with all federal and state government programs. This position will manage all Government and Commercial Contracts and Obligations, perform and submit all Government Calculations, prepare month end schedules for reporting and sign off, provide monthly trending of Government pricing and rebates, monitor policies, procedures and processes supporting Government Pricing submissions and related areas to ensure ongoing compliance with external and internal requirements and guidance, and model pricing impact on commercial business. In addition, this position supports associated research, documentation and submission of all mandated product and pricing data for all federal and state government pricing programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Calculate, analyze, and validate the required government pricing data for monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions to federal and state government agencies
  • Analyze data for correct inclusion or exclusion of transaction classifications based on Company methodology supporting each price type
  • Perform detailed data analysis of:
  • Sales data
  • Chargeback data
  • Service & Administrative Fees
  • Rebate data
  • Other data elements
  • Utilize variance and analytical reporting tools to evaluate the accuracy of data and calculations
  • Work with various departments across the organization to resolve all source system data issues identified in the data reconciliation and validation process prior to calculations being processed
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly analyses for management review
  • Participate in on-going and timely implementation and maintenance of approved policy, work instructions or calculation methodology changes due to new regulations or changes in business practices
  • Recommend updates or changes to department policies and procedures to allow for continuous business process improvement
  • Managing all aspects related to the calculation and analysis of quarterly 340B pricing in compliance with HRSA, which includes thorough analysis of Average Manufacturer Price (AMP) and Medicaid Unit Rebate Amount (URA), certification and submission of 340B prices to Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA), sending pricing notification to wholesalers and compliant with 340B pricing audits.
  • Review Government pricing data for accuracy to ensure products are in accordance with contract language and manage Government Pricing and different Medicaid claims like SPAP (State Pharmaceutical Assistance Program), ADAP (Aids Drug Assistance Program) and Supplemental by collaborating with various cross-functional departments such as Contracts & Pricing, Chargebacks and Rebates, Contract Development, Trade Operations, Customer Service, Sales and Legal teams to address all upstream data issues such as COT (Class Of Trade), Product and customer eligibility, Direct and Indirect Sales Data, Service and Administrative Fees and other data elements that impact government pricing reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics; MBA preferred (Finance concentration)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical Government Pricing role
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in finance/accounting or public accounting (Big 4)
  • Knowledge of Managed Care industry
  • Advanced financial and analytical skills, with a high degree of accuracy to ensure compliance with internal policies, laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively cross-functionally Team player,
  • Results driven self-starter, who can work independently or with minimal supervision and who has success in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of business practices, time management and organizational skills
  • Candidate must have excellent oral presentation and communication skills, and is able to maintain appropriate written and electronic documentation consistent with approved policy and various state and federal requirements, along with maintaining detailed documentation for pricing assumptions made during the calculation of government pricing submissions
