This Director, Brand Experience Strategy will hold strategy responsibilities over brand experiences and will be a key contributor within the Experience Strategy group of Dentsu Creative.

This role \xe2\x80\x93 an experience strategy lead within Experience Strategy - is an emerging role that centers on the nexus of culture, brand, consumer, and category. It demands the formulation of action-oriented, experience-driven brand solutions through the lens of storytelling and the creation of compelling narratives. The ideal candidate should be passionate about how culture shapes consumer behaviors, habits, and expectations for brand engagement.

Driven by a curiosity to uncover how brands can add meaningful value \xe2\x80\x93 from resolving a pain point along the consumer journey to creating world-changing initiatives \xe2\x80\x93 the candidate should be able to weave a narrative that positions the brand as the solution to these needs. This role is deeply rooted in translating brand actions into experiential outputs, focusing on experiences that span across physical and digital touchpoints.

The successful candidate will develop a unique point of view on what the brand should do, how the brand should engage in the world, and what experiences the brand should create. They will author the strategy for all conceptual experiential efforts, partnering closely with creative, tech, innovation, and operations teams throughout the strategy, ideation, and development process.

This role requires active collaboration across Dentsu creative, a multi-faceted North American agency with expertise spanning creative, experiential, digital, social, PR, CXM, and more. The candidate will also interact with clients and internal teams in the development of experience strategies and their creative and production manifestations.

Staying ahead of trends, inspiring the team with exceptional brand experiences, and shaping agency frameworks for experience strategy are all integral to this role. The candidate will contribute to the agency\xe2\x80\x99s perspectives on the future of connected experiences and how consumers + brands engage. They will share future-focused POVs with the team and clients, leading trend work or work sessions as needed.

The role includes the potential for managing and mentoring future direct reports, helping them develop their career at Dentsu. There may also be opportunities to contribute to pitch efforts as a part of the connected experiences practice, both for new business and organic growth.

Qualifications

- 7+ years Strategic Planning experience with an emphasis on experience strategy (at a traditional, digital, or data agency or client side digital).

- A proactive doer who leads by example, leans into client relationships, and creates new opportunities.

- Generative and flexible thinkers able to inspire clients, the agency, and their teams with innovative thinking.

- Strong strategic storytelling and narrative development skills.

- Adaptive and responsive to feedback, changing conditions, and adept at problem-solving in real-time.

- Collaborative partners to creative and account leadership and invaluable, strategic counselors to our client organizations.

- BA in Marketing or similar
