Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Every Other Weekend

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

to join our team. This position is

every other weekend

and requires someone who is committed to providing high-quality support and care to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

ScheduleEvery Other Weekend:

Friday:

3:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Saturday:

6:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Sunday:

6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Position Overview

The DSP will assist clients with daily living tasks, community involvement, personal care needs, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, and able to work independently while following established care plans.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and supervision according to individual service plans Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, and meal preparation Support clients in community activities, appointments, and skill-building tasks Maintain accurate documentation, notes, and reports Ensure client safety and follow all agency policies and procedures Communicate effectively with team members, families, and supervisors Be available for

on-call needs

when required Uphold professional boundaries, confidentiality, and a respectful environment

Requirements

Prior DSP or caregiving experience required

Valid driver's license

Reliable personal vehicle

with current insurance, registration, and all required documentation

Clean and clear background check

Ability to lift, assist, and perform physical tasks as needed Strong communication skills and dependability Must be comfortable working independently and handling emergency situations appropriately Must be available for scheduled weekend shifts

Preferred Qualifications

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Training in crisis intervention or behavior support Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
