Direct Support Professional

Duties

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with various needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication reminders
- Implement individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies
- Engage individuals in social and recreational activities
- Monitor and document individual progress and behavior
- Assist with patient monitoring and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel

- Provide attentive care and oversight to individuals requiring line-of-sight supervision.

Requirements

- Experience working with individuals with, developmental disabilities, or in residential settings is preferred
- Valid driver's License and auto insurance
- Proficiency in providing home care services
- Knowledge of care-giving practices and techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Level 1 medication certificate preferred but not compulsory
