We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. This role involves supporting residents in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor residents' health status by observing patient conditions and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration
Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations while maintaining accurate documentation
Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs in accordance with dietary guidelines
Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care and memory support
Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts safely and effectively
Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being
Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning common areas and resident rooms
Document observations and report any changes in residents' conditions to healthcare teams promptly
Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid procedures, and infection control practices such as proper hand hygiene
Qualifications
Prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or in senior care settings preferred
Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable; willingness to obtain these certifications upon hire is required
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality
Ability to assist with heavy lifting and use of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts
Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety awareness
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for engaging with residents and team members
Experience with medication administration, care planning, and documentation is preferred but not mandatory
Valid driver's license may be required for community outings or transportation assistance
