Overview

Embracing Hearts Healthcare is an agency in Mississippi that provides services through the Mississippi IDD Waiver. This is a Medicaid waiver for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. What our agency does is go in and provide respite and community support services to these individuals.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient care and support in accordance with individualized care plans. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Support clients in social interactions and community engagement activities. Document client progress and any incidents accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Engage in patient observation to ensure safety and well-being at all times.

Skills

First Aid and CPR certification is preferred. Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other developmental disabilities. Strong patient monitoring skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting when required. Knowledge of caregiving techniques, including meal preparation and cleaning tasks. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them diligently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate attitude towards providing support for individuals in need of assistance. Monday-Friday 4pm-9pm

Weekends 4pm-9pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
