Note: Assignment is working part time in the Raleigh/Durham area.

Specialized Health Care Services LLC is looking for a self-motivated, reliable and experienced Direct Support Professional to provide support to our individual's. Assist with personal care task, participating in community activities and providing supervision in the home or community. Provide documentation describing concerns and actions needed for addressing behavioral issues. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a willingness to be flexible and adaptable.

About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, community?minded Direct Support Professional to provide person?centered support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, engaging in community activities, and motivating others to build independence and confidence. Multiple positions are available.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individualized support in community and home settings Encourage skill development, independence, and meaningful participation in daily activities Support individuals in accessing community resources, recreational activities, and social opportunities Implement person?centered goals and maintain accurate documentation Model positive behavior, motivation, and engagement Work collaboratively with the individual, family, and care team Safely and confidently work with a dog during community outings and activities

Qualifications

Experience supporting individuals with I/DD (preferred) Ability to motivate, engage, and support individuals in community settings Comfortable working with and around dogs Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
