We are seeking a few Direct Support Professionals to join our team and provide assistance to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support services such as assisting with daily living activities, providing transportation, and teaching independent living skills. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to remain calm in difficult situations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and an understanding of the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings. Help individuals with disabilities develop and maintain independence and self-sufficiency. Assist individuals with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, and meal preparation. Provide transportation to appointments, recreational activities, and other necessary errands. Encourage individuals to participate in community activities and events. Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals with disabilities. Maintain accurate records of services provided.
Requirements:

Empathy, patience and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with autism. Previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or related disabilities is preferred. Ability to follow instructions, adapt to changing circumstances, and manage challenging behaviors calmly. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs and schedule. Commitment in maintaining confidentiality and respecting the individuals privacy. Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively interact with the individual.
