Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support and care to individuals with varying needs and varying disabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients in their daily activities while ensuring their dignity and rights are upheld. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through attentive and personalized care in our group homes.

Duties

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Ensure resident rights are respected and upheld at all times. Support individuals by implementing tailored engagement strategies. Assist in heavy lifting as required for mobility or repositioning of residents. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Experience

Previous experience in direct care roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with in-home care settings is advantageous. Certification in CPR is highly desirable. Strong observational skills to effectively monitor patient conditions and needs. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting when necessary.
