Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, empathy, and the ability to manage various situations effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Monitor and record vital signs as needed. Assist clients with mobility and physical activities. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those with dementia or disabilities. Uphold resident rights and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Manage conflicts effectively while providing emotional support to clients and their families. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience

Previous experience in caregiving or direct care roles is preferred but not required. Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus. Knowledge of resident rights and ethical considerations in caregiving. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is beneficial. Skills in conflict management and social work principles are advantageous. Understanding of basic health monitoring techniques, including vital signs assessment.
