Responsibilities

Assist with food production and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and safety standards. Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring proper portioning and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food service equipment through regular cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing. Support food handling procedures by following proper hygiene practices to ensure food safety compliance. Buss tables, clear trays, and assist with dishwashing to promote a clean dining environment. Help with food storage, inventory management, and restocking supplies as needed. Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions. Follow all sanitation protocols related to cooking, serving, cleaning, and overall kitchen operations. Assist in general kitchen duties such as cooking, meal assembly, and food presentation under supervision. Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively with residents or patients during meal times. Support dietary department activities by adhering to food safety regulations and participating in sanitation routines.

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Demonstrated ability to handle food safely and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Experience in food production, serving, or culinary tasks is advantageous. Strong time management skills to efficiently support meal schedules and kitchen operations. Knowledge of dietary guidelines or dietetics is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Customer service experience that highlights your ability to interact compassionately with residents or patients is valued.
