WHAT YOU WILL DO

Conducts home visits with clients and family members.
Documents all observations and interactions; maintains record of activities; writes monthly reports of activities with clients, collateral contacts, observations, client progress and functioning.
Provides transportation as necessary.
Documents and observes interactions with customers and contacts.
Assists and advocates for access and use of community services; organizes services.
Ensures and monitors quality and quantity of services are delivered.
Notifies caseworker and/or professionals in the event of crisis, safety concerns, negative change in behavior or other observations of care and progress.
Maintains case file, correspondence and client confidential information.
Testify in court as needed.
Performs related work as required.
Child Welfare:
+ Provides paraprofessional services coaching clients in support of a professional social caseworker and case plan in the areas of child protection, youth in conflict and adult case management and protection.
+ Provides services to strengthen the ability of families to protect and care for their children, to minimize harm to children and youth and to ensure the safety and well-being and permanency planning for children and families in accordance with the Colorado Children's Code.
+ Offers instruction and guidance to parents on child development and child rearing techniques.
+ Assists with life skills activities of daily living, including teaching.
+ Provides child protective services as defined by all relevant and Colorado State Statutes and rules.
WHAT YOU HAVE

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or GED equivalencyrequired*
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years of full time public contact in human services or a related field required*

Due to operational requirements, some employees will be required to work on holidays. The employee must take the holiday by the end of the month following the holiday at a date approved by their Elected Official or Department Director
SICK LEAVE
Regular full-time employees accrue eight (8) hours per month with a maximum accrual of 960 hours.
VACATION LEAVE
Upon initial date of hire: earn eight (8) hours per month with a maximum accrual of 144 hours.
After 5 years: earn twelve (12) hours per month with a maximum accrual of 216 hours.
Ater 10 years: earn sixteen (16) hours per month with a maximum accrual of 288 hours.
RETIREMENT
All Regular Full-Time employees and Elected Officials are required to participate in the County Retirement Plan upon completion of one (1) month of continuous employment. A pre-tax deduction of 8.25% will be deducted from the employee's monthly pay.

Are greater than the employer contribution dollar amount, the difference is deducted from paycheck
