Tunnel Vision Detox Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable

Registered Nurse (RN)

to join our clinical team. As an integral part of our detox and recovery program, the RN plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients undergoing withdrawal and early stabilization. This position requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing trauma-informed, client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments upon client admission, including medical history, withdrawal risk evaluation, and vital signs. Administer medications as prescribed by the medical provider, with careful monitoring of client response and condition. Perform ongoing client monitoring, including withdrawal symptom assessments (e.g., CIWA, COWS) and medical status checks throughout the detox process. Document all assessments, interventions, and client progress accurately and promptly in accordance with facility policies and state regulations. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, counselors, and support staff to provide coordinated and effective care. Intervene appropriately in medical or psychiatric emergencies, following established protocols. Educate clients on medication, withdrawal symptoms, health conditions, and next steps in their treatment plan. Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in shift handoffs, staff meetings, and ongoing training to support high-quality clinical operations. Provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to clients during vulnerable stages of recovery.

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of operation. Previous experience in detox, behavioral health, substance use treatment, emergency care, or medical-surgical nursing preferred. CPR/BLS certification required. Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and crisis-intervention skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and provide empathetic care. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Pay: $22.83 - $27.49 per hour
