The Dental Patient Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing the day-to-day operations of the front office. This position is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating financial and insurance matters, and ensuring an efficient flow of communication between patients, clinical staff, and providers.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring all demographic and insurance information is current.
Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage appointment scheduling to optimize provider productivity and patient experience.
Confirm and remind patients of upcoming appointments via phone, text, or email.
Collect and post patient payments, including copays and account balances, and process insurance verifications and pre-authorizations.
Maintain accurate and organized patient records in the practice management software (Curve Hero).
Coordinate treatment plans, review financial arrangements, and assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits and out-of-pocket responsibilities.
Support back-office operations by maintaining communication with the clinical team regarding patient flow and scheduling adjustments.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all dental practice policies and procedures.
Assist with administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or dental administrative training preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental or medical front office setting.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, insurance coordination, and billing preferred.
Proficient in dental practice management software .
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail
, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Compensation:
