Job Description

Position Summary



We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Office Administrator/Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring the smooth, efficient daily operation of the practice. The ideal candidate is compassionate, tech-savvy, and capable of effectively multi-tasking.

Key Responsibilities



Patient Experience & Front Desk Operations Warmly greet patients, check them in/out, and ensure a positive, comfortable experience. Answer phone calls, manage text/email communication, and schedule appointments efficiently. Maintain a clean, professional, and inviting reception area. Communicate treatment information and appointment expectations using clear, patient-friendly language.

Scheduling & Coordination



Manage provider schedules to maximize productivity and minimize gaps or last-minute changes. Confirm appointments and follow up on unscheduled treatment. Coordinate specialty referrals and track return reports.

Financial & Insurance Tasks



Present accurate treatment plans and provide financial estimates. Verify dental insurance benefits, submit claims, and post payments. Collect co-pays, balances, and maintain accurate patient ledger entries. Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances.

Administrative Duties



Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with office correspondence, inventory, and administrative tasks as assigned. Support the dental team in creating an efficient, compassionate workflow.

Qualifications



Previous dental office or medical front-desk experience preferred, but not required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organization, multitasking, and problem-solving ability. Comfort with dental software (Dentrix, SoftDent Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.)--training available. Basic understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance (or willingness to learn). Professional, positive attitude with a team-first mindset.

Job Type & Benefits



Full-time position (Monday-Thursday). Fridays OFF Competitive pay based on experience. Benefits include paid time off, dental benefits, continuing education, and retirement plan
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
