Duties

Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles such as straight trucks, flatbeds and dump trucks to deliver freight across assigned routes Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations Plan optimal delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times

Requirements

Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for operating various vehicle types. Proven experience in truck driving, especially with delivery routes involving freight handling. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with different truck configurations like flatbeds or dump trucks. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using equipment like forklifts or other lifting devices when required Experience operating a truck mounted moffett is a must. Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
