Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Daycare Floater to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will provide flexible support across various classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of different ages. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic childcare setting, supporting the developmental needs of children while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education.

Duties

Assist in supervising and engaging children during daily activities, playtime, and learning sessions Support classroom teachers by helping with lesson implementation and activity setup Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following established safety protocols Provide age-appropriate care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and surfaces Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions Step into different classrooms as needed to provide coverage during staff breaks or absences Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's needs and progress

Requirements

Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified Experience with special education, working with children with disabilities, or behavior management is advantageous Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with children, parents, and team members Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs Prior experience in caregiving roles such as babysitting, nannying, or teaching is beneficial Passion for early childhood education and creating a positive learning environment
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
