Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are currently hiring a dedicated Day Porter to support the ongoing cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the Medical Office Buildings at. This role is highly visible and requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and consistent communication with building tenants, property managers, and our internal operations team.

Key Responsibilities

:

Perform daytime janitorial duties including lobby maintenance, restroom checks/restocking, and trash removal

Respond promptly to cleanup requests (spills, high-traffic area touch-ups, restrooms, etc.)

Monitor supply inventory in janitor closets and communicate restocking needs

Ensure medical-grade cleaning protocols are followed in shared exam areas, waiting rooms, and restrooms

Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly (e.g., doorknobs, elevator buttons, counters)

Communicate with Janco supervisors and building management regarding maintenance needs, safety concerns, or service requests

Assist with occasional specialty cleaning tasks such as spot-cleaning walls or glass, minor floor care, or light exterior entry upkeep (snow melt, debris)

Qualifications:

Prior janitorial or porter experience preferred (healthcare facility experience a plus)

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control procedures

Professional appearance and communication; must be comfortable interacting with tenants and staff

Ability to walk, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required

Schedule & Compensation:

Full-time or part-time options available

Daytime shifts, Monday through Friday

Competitive hourly wage, based on experience

Qualifications

Proven experience in cleaning and janitorial roles, with a strong focus on commercial cleaning and custodial tasks. Skilled in floor care techniques and maintenance practices. Familiarity with residential painting and industrial cleaning processes. Experience in facilities maintenance and porter duties is a plus. Ability to perform buffing and other specialized cleaning tasks effectively.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
