JOB DESCRIPTION: RRC Associates is a multidisciplinary social science, market research, and planning firm located in Boulder, Colorado. We are searching for a Data Visulization Analyst with strong data processing and visualization background to assist with a variety of studies and projects, particularly in the areas of tourism, snow sports, parks and recreation, outdoor recreation, open space and trails planning, and city/downtown management. RRC utilizes a variety of quantitiave methodologies including surveys, mobile location data (cell phone data), counters, and secondary data analysis. Responsibilities for this position include coordination of individual research efforts on a variety of fronts: study design, data processing, workflow development, visualization creation of various data sources (survey data, mobile location, etc.), static and interactive dashboard creation. Strong experience with Alteryx, SQL, Tableau and/or Power BI is required for this position. Experience with geospatial analysis and cleaning, especially with mobile location data, is considered a major plus. JOB TYPE:
Full-time with benefits Hybrid or Remote QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant will have had experience working with and processing large datasets, building workflows in programs such as Alteryx and Tableau, be detail-oriented, and enjoy working in, and contributing to, a strong team environment. Some or all of the following specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities are desirable:
* Undergraduate or higher statistics coursework
* Advanced experience and proficiency cleaning and visualizing complex data in Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau or Power BI. * Demonstrable experience in developing and applying advanced analytic and visualization techniques to diverse data sets.
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
* Understanding of various data visualization approaches
* Familiarity with modern quantitative research methods * Strong organizational skills with a particular emphasis on details and accuracy
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently * Willingness to learn new software tools and research methodologies * Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with research experience required; graduate level degree in associated field of research preferred.
