Data Architect, BI Solutions

:

Using our various Business Intelligence analytic platforms, this person is responsible for contributing to the financial planning, budgeting and other KPI analysis for all of OneSpaWorld\xe2\x80\x99s divisions, primarily the cruise ship spa division. In this role, your expertise will be required to deliver BI end-user products including KPI dashboards and ad hoc reporting. You will use your experience in data warehousing technologies to build self-service end user tools for publishing data and reporting systems that support business insight across the company. This position is responsible for the full life cycle of BI solutions including research, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, training and support.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for revenue, financial and business analytics and KPI dashboard development using the Qlik platform and other tools
• Management of Qlik Sense licensing, user roles and profiles; maintain and update data model as required
• Responsible for managing and enhancing the rearchitecting of the enterprise data warehouse
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions, interface with executive management, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.
• Will serve as the subject matter expert for BI end user solutions and must be able to translate business user requirements into queries, models and other BI solutions for insightful end user analytics and forecasting

• Create the short-, medium- and long-term strategic vision for BI technology and processes
• Define, retrieve, profile, and analyze large datasets to drive and define Business Intelligence solutions and approaches.

• Must have specific knowledge of technologies like SQL, as well as BI Tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Microsoft Power BI
• Needs to be knowledgeable about data storage structures, data warehousing and the various ways that data can be applied to aid in business intelligence
• Responsible for implementing and managing the day-to-day needs of the data governance and data quality program

• Executes the implementation of approved data definitions, policies, standards, process data access, and dashboard statistics
• Analyzes and identifies data sources, data, redundancy, and implements processes to remediate data issues and /or data clean-up efforts.
• Work with users to define requirements, develop complex queries for BI Reporting and support their testing, operational implementation, and customization.
• Develop innovative and interactive scorecards, executive dashboards, reports, and analysis templates to provide insight and recommended solution; analysis would be related to revenue, staff productivity and utilization, yield management, inventory, recruitment, and other operational and financial process metrics
• Generation and automation of weekly, monthly, and annual revenue, P&L, supply chain and KPI reports
• Apply best practices for data visualization
• Write and maintain technical and user documentation to support BI initiatives
• Assist in the coordination, preparation, and automation of annual P&L budget
• Preparation of PowerPoint decks, as required to support financial and BI analysis and reporting
• Deliver presentations as needed to senior management
• Perform other duties as assigned by the SVP, Finance & BI

• BA or MBA, MSIS or applicable degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Using industry best practices, the desired applicant must have extensive experience and advanced knowledge of Qlik Sense or other related Business Intelligence platforms such as Tableau or MS Power BI
• Database query experience using T-SQL, query optimization, complex statements, and sub-queries.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (MS Query, pivot tables, power pivot, power query, advanced formulas)
• Sound understanding of ETL and ability to work closely with Data Architects, ETL/ Modeling team, and Business users
• Experience in data analysis, data modeling, data visualization, data mining and data warehouse design
• Experience creating and showcasing BI/Analytical presentation decks to the executive team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Experience in Ad-Hoc Reporting, Financial Reporting, Planning and Modeling, Revenue and P&L analysis
