Duties

Develop and deliver comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels, including ballet, theater dance, and general dancing techniques Lead energetic dance classes that motivate students to improve their technique, coordination, and confidence Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment Plan engaging lessons that incorporate elements of choreography, musicality, and performance skills Provide personalized feedback and tutoring to help students progress in their dancing abilities Organize student showcases or performances to celebrate achievements and boost confidence Incorporate creative activities such as photography or sewing projects related to costume design or stage presentation when appropriate

Skills

Strong background in dance styles such as ballet, theater dance, or contemporary movement with experience in choreography and lesson planning Excellent teaching abilities with experience working with children, preschoolers, or adults in educational settings Classroom management skills to maintain discipline while fostering a positive atmosphere Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience with behavior management techniques for diverse learners including those with special education needs Ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate arts like theater or creative movement Familiarity with classroom experience in arts education or early childhood programs; experience with tutoring or individualized instruction is a plus Skills in photography or sewing can enhance costume design or performance documentation efforts Passion for promoting physical activity through dancing while emphasizing safety and proper technique
