to support our import and export operations in Catano, Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage documentation and compliance requirements efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and process import/export documentation required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other government agencies.
Ensure shipments comply with federal regulations, including tariff classifications, valuation, and country-of-origin requirements.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses, and clients to ensure timely clearance of goods.
Maintain accurate and organized records of shipments, entries, and compliance files.
Communicate with CBP officers and respond to inquiries, holds, exams, or documentation requests.
Verify invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin for accuracy.
Monitor changes in customs regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
Provide customer service and support to clients regarding customs requirements, documentation status, and transportation timelines.
Requirements:
Experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or international trade.
Strong understanding of CBP regulations, HTS code classification, and import/export processes.
Proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Familiarity with ACE, ABI systems, or brokerage management software (preferred).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Valid customs broker license is a plus (but may not be required depending on company needs).

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
