Job Description

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds. Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restroom facilities and collecting trash to ensure the building's occupants have a clean space. Must be dependable, courteous, and punctual in completing assigned duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Clean restrooms daily, which include toilets, urinals, mirrors, stall partitions, and mop the floor

Clean water fountains

Clean all entrance doors, windows, and stairways

Empty all trash containers throughout the building, which include meeting rooms and kitchen, offices, public areas, and outside trash baskets

Sweep all the floors and mop as needed

Strip, mop, and wax floors throughout the building

Vacuum the floors as needed

Pick up litter on the grounds, walkways, and in the parking lots

Dust furniture which include desk, shelves and chairs throughout the building

Maintain inventory of cleaning and other janitorial supplies

Report all building, equipment, maintenance, grounds issues to the Facilities Manager

Knowledge of basic hand tools and janitorial equipment

Ability to perform the job in a safe manner

Ability to work independently & complete tasks effectively and on time.

Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment Must have a valid driver license with a clean driving record
One year of custodian experience

Knowledge of basic cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment experience

Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures to the work environment

High School Diploma or GED

Perform other duties as assigned

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.50 per hour
