CUSTODIAN PT
DEPARTMENT: JOB TITLE:
NATURE OF WORK:
This is repetitive manual work requiring efficient performance of simple building cleaning and grounds maintenance duties.
PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS:
Scrubs, mops, waxes and polish floors, dust and polishes furniture, washes windows, wood work, toilets, washrooms and fixtures. Vacuum and maintains all floors of all City buildings. Sweeps sidewalks, shovels snow from walks. Maintains, replenishes and issues cleaning and related supplies and equipment.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the direction of the Buildings and Grounds Superintendent and Public Works Director
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
None required

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education equivalent to that of a High School Diploma, and at least one to two years related experience.
