Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking

School Custodian

to join our facilities team. The Custodian will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the school building and grounds remain in excellent condition for daily use.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, gymnasiums, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize all assigned areas. Empty trash and recycling bins and properly dispose of waste. Refill paper products, soap, and cleaning supplies as needed. Set up and break down rooms for school events and activities. Assist with minor maintenance and repair tasks as assigned. Ensure building security by locking doors and windows after cleaning areas. Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and supply needs to the supervisor. Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning equipment and chemicals properly.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred (training provided). Ability to lift and carry up to

50 lbs

regularly. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to work the

4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

shift.
