Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable. This role is vital to creating a clean and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients. Prior janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. The Custodian will work in a fast-paced environment, performing routine cleaning tasks with professionalism and efficiency.

Duties

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various facility areas Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and proper floor care techniques Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including equipment sanitation and surface disinfection Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively Follow established safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment Support residential painting or light maintenance projects when required Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within scheduled timeframes

Skills

Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, including commercial or industrial cleaning Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing Familiarity with facilities maintenance and basic repair work Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards Good organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks efficiently Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, lift heavy objects when necessary, and stand for extended periods Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7.25 - $11.00 per hour
