Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the functionality and safety of our facilities through various technical and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This is a 12-hour shift role with a rotating schedule: 3 days on / 4 days off, followed by 4 days on / 3 days off.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues. Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as Ohmmeters and welding equipment. Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects to ensure quality workmanship. Respond promptly to service requests from staff or clients, demonstrating exceptional customer service. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards within the facility.

Qualifications

2+ years of maintenance, electrical and plumbing experience absolutely necessary Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Previous lead experience is advantageous but not required. Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
