The Schedule:

5:00 PM-2:00 AM Monday-Friday

The Role:

The Crisis Intervention Specialist provide evidence-informed information and referrals, brief supportive counseling, crisis intervention and suicide prevention, and follow-up services to individuals who contact the program in emotion distress and/or seeing information on available services. This position provides an opportunity to gain a wide range of clinical skills, and knowledge of the expanding field of behavioral health.

What you will do:

Receive and answer incoming calls from clients in the community seeking crisis assistance Utilize crisis assessment and intervention skills Make outbound calls, emails, text or chat to effectively coordinate care and resolve crisis situations through identification of community resources Effectively screen incoming requests using the risk assessment tools provided Seek clinical consultation for triage services and health education, when necessary May perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 6 years' experience in behavioral health Associate degree in behavioral health or related field and a minimum of 4 years' experience in behavioral health or; Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience in behavioral health or; Master's degree in behavioral health or related field and a minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health Completion of a pre-employment drug screen Completion of a background check Satisfactory Driving Record
