The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center is seeking applicants for a full-time crisis case manager position (35 hours/week). The Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center, a non-profit agency providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault for over 40 years. We are seeking a full-time counselor to provide counseling services to victims of interpersonal violence/domestic violence and sexual assault. Responsibilities include responding and providing services to requests for counseling and support group facilitation. The Crisis Case Manager will provide a trauma informed response to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking, assessing immediate needs, safety planning and linking victims to other supportive services. Key responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Provide comprehensive crisis intervention and case management to victims of interpersonal violence. \xc2\xb7 Provide assessment and service plan for victims \xc2\xb7 Assists and accompany victims to court legal appointments, health care, public assistance benefits, and social /community agencies if relative to client short, and long-term stabilization goals. \xc2\xb7 Provide culturally competent, trauma informed services to victims/survivors of interpersonal violence \xc2\xb7 Provide individualized safety planning for victims and their children \xc2\xb7 Provide a Non-judgmental empathetic approach to assisting victims of interpersonal violence \xc2\xb7 Assistance with basic needs and providing victims with knowledge of their rights \xc2\xb7 Assist victims in accessing and applying for victim\xe2\x80\x99s compensation \xc2\xb7 Provide and facilitate groups and individual financial literacy and life skills empowerment training for victim/survivors The Ideal Candidate: \xc2\xb7 The ideal candidate for this position has experience working with victims of interpersonal violence and providing case management to underserved population. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge and experience in trauma- informed care, and the empowerment client centered model. \xc2\xb7 Has strong organizational, verbal, and written skills, the ability to appropriately assess the needs of clients for services. Education and Experience Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in relevant field or equivalent education/work experience Hours: 35 hours/week. Schedule to be determined.
