Position Overview
We're searching for a
Creative Video Editor
who doesn't just edit -- but shapes stories, defines visual rhythm, and leads others to do the same. You'll guide AFM's post-production team in setting the creative tone for how brands come alive on TikTok and beyond.
This role blends leadership and craftsmanship: you'll be hands-on in editing, while mentoring editors, refining workflows, and pushing boundaries in short-form storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Lead with vision:
Build, mentor, and grow a team of editors who understand not just how to cut, but why every second matters.
Own the creative pulse:
Review and refine edits for pacing, emotion, and narrative -- ensuring each piece resonates with both brand and audience.
Streamline the process:
Design smooth, scalable post-production workflows -- from file management to feedback and delivery.
Collaborate across teams:
Work closely with creators, strategists, and project managers to bring campaigns from concept to final cut.
Stay trend-sharp:
Keep AFM ahead of editing trends, storytelling formats, and cultural shifts shaping short-form video.
Deliver excellence:
Oversee export standards, technical specs, and platform optimization across TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Qualifications
3-5 years of professional video editing experience, including 1+ year leading or mentoring a team
Proficiency in
CapCut
,
Adobe Premiere Pro
, and
After Effects
Deep intuition for TikTok-style storytelling -- from hook to retention
Strong communicator who gives clear, empathetic feedback
Exceptionally organized and comfortable balancing multiple projects
Fluent in both
Mandarin
and
English
Preferred Experience
Experience in influencer marketing, digital campaigns, or social commerce
Agency or studio background in a high-volume production environment
Understanding of performance-driven creative strategy
