  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $23.64 - $36.67. [OR The annual salary for this position is $49,169 - $76,277.]
  • 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans.
  • OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job!

Position Highlights The Douglas County Circuit Courtis hiring a Court Operations Specialist. In this role\xe2\x80\xa6 Much of your day will be to process circuit court cases as assigned along with performing extensive data entry, adding new cases, new pleadings, and updating case and party information. Review then accept or reject electronic or manual filings. Scanning documents into the case manager system. Disburse funds as appropriate. You will also assist the public as needed by in-person, phone, or electronically. Respond to questions from the public, litigants, attorneys, courts staff, judicial officers, and judicial partners related to any document entries, case processing\xe2\x80\x99s, scheduling, and court/case statuses. Minimum Qualifications (These must be evident in your resume or work history.) The qualified candidate must have at least four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office or business setting demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position.

Possession of a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent life or work experience. OR Any combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.   • Experience providing direct administrative support to one or more persons.
  • Experience using a computer for data entry, scheduling, and to manage and maintain records; experience should be within the past five years.
  • Experience maintaining focus and accuracy during interruptions, distractions, or noise.
  • Experience ensuring the accuracy of forms, memos, or other documents.
  • Experience working in a court or legal environment is desirable but not required.
Working Conditions
  • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
  • Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances or highly stressful situations.
  • Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
