This position will report to the Manager of Corporate Communications and be responsible for developing communications and editorial content to tell the Holiday Inn Club Vacations story to both external and internal audiences. Deliverables could include:
  • Press releases and related media statements
  • Portal articles
  • Corporate website content
  • Internal emails
  • Executive talking points
  • Company townhalls PPT documents
Additionally, this position will provide crisis communications support, as needed. The employee will work closely with internal teams and partners to ensure all communications satisfy business objectives, meet brand standards, and remain legally compliant. This position will also be responsible for supporting the Company\xe2\x80\x99s CSR program, Heart Travels. This includes (but is not limited to) assisting with company-wide charity drives, planning fundraising campaigns and events, managing relationships with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s charitable partners, and working alongside creative and design partners on supporting collateral. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
  • Drafting communication pieces (including changes and rewrites)
  • Community relations/CSR program coordination and support
  • Information gathering (project-specific meetings, research, interviews and follow-ups)
  • Proofreading (including employee\xe2\x80\x99s own copy and that of others)
  • Department functions (meetings, team events and miscellaneous tasks)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 3\xe2\x80\x935 years professional writing experience in corporate communications, PR, or related field.
  • Experience managing multiple projects successfully.
  • Experience in messaging for company spokespeople a plus.
  • Experience in corporate environment and/or timeshare/hospitality background a plus.
  • Experience in community relations, cause marketing, or corporate giving a plus.
  • Experience working well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to do research and ask appropriate questions to gather and organize pertinent information.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and manage issues professionally, and according to operating and company standards.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with internal team members while maintaining a self-directed approach.
  • Ability to write for a variety of media, including articles, emails, press releases, video scripts, web content, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Polished language and professionalism to deal with media, community partners, employees and organizational leaders, at every level.
  • Project management experience and proficiency in prioritizing and organizing assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, and professional demeanor.
    • Any certifications is a plus.
