As an Accountant with our Moen brand, you will be working in a corporate accounting role consolidating financials, month end closing, and special projects supporting our water innovations core business units in the US, Canada, Mexico, and China. This role has a lot of variety, you will interact with much of the organization, and the team is very big on growing YOUR personal development. This role is open due to an internal promotion.

This can be ahybridrole (in office Tuesday-Thursday) in North Olmsted, Ohio.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Participate in month-end, quarterly and year-end closing processes including journal preparation, intracompany reconciliations, profit center accounting review, various ad-hoc reviews, month-end reporting schedules and consolidations.
• Prepare various Financial Statements in BPC for submission to Corporate.
• Serve as a liaison with entities for booking various accounting related entries.
• Manage and monitor various transactions between various intercompany entities.
• Assist as needed with internal and external auditors for quarterly and annual audits.
• Prepare and review various balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations on various accounts. Work on resolving any reconciling items.
• Serve as an alternate to other roles within Corporate Accounting as needed.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis, account / cost center analysis and reports as assigned.
• Review period changes for specified balance sheet accounts.
• Assist other departments and participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in accounting is required; CPA preferred; MBA a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience is required.
• Very strong PC and Excel skills are required; Knowledge of SAP R/3, BW, BPC a plus.
