Job Description

The coordinator is accountable and responsible for managing and demonstrating leadership skills in the systems management of practice and /or operations issues. Theses activities should ensure appropriate outcomes and efficient, effective team processes, guiding activities of the clinics including, but not limited to, the staff, environment, and patients. This position will be responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating services and activities associated with Memorial Physician clinics, to include public outreach programs. Provides clinical expertise and by teaching in formal and informal settings.



Provides essential management functions to assure effective day-to-day operations + Monitors and adjusts staffing as appropriate.
+ Conducts interviews and hires staff in collaboration with Nurse Manager.
+ Facilitates the development and implementation of team processes.
+ Performance appraisal process is completed as delegated.
+ Assists with monitoring inventory and par levels at clinics.
+ Audits and assists clinic staff to achieve compliance with policies/procedures, regulatory, and accreditation agencies.
Mentors staff through performance feedback processes. + Acts as a resource and support for staff in developing conflict management, delegation, and communication skills.
+ Counsels staff and completes disciplinary actions as appropriate and as delegated by manager/director.
+ Moves the team to quality outcomes through shared planning, voluntary expression, and acceptance of members as valued individuals.
Facilitates all phases of orientation for all roles. + Provides orientation materials to new staff upon hire.
+ Establishes schedule for conferences with orientee to measure progress.
+ Ensures completion of all orientation requirements prior to probationary evaluation.
+ Identifies staff educational needs. Develops and implements new programs and educational offerings based on need.
+ Serves as clinical and process resource for staff.
+ Provides on-going identification of best practice issues and implementation of appropriate changes in collaboration with CNS.
Performs patient care services as delegated. + Provides direct patient care.
+ Performs care planning activities utilizing assessment data or input from all team members encompassing individual patient needs throughout the continuum of care.
+ Ensures efficient, quality patient outcomes throughout the implementation of the plan of care and effective use of all available resources.


Education:


Required: Associate's Degree: Graduate of an accredited program with minimum of an associate's degree in nursing Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing; College courses in management and organizational behavior
Experience:


Required: 3 years of Clinical experience with 1 year in a Physicians Clinic Preferred: 1 year of Charge nurse experience, or nurse management experience
Skills:


Competency in team building skills with accountability to the team Good written communication skills * Computer skills and keyboarding
