job summary:
Extremely stable environment: Electrical Controls / Automation Technician sought at a medium-sized plant, part of a very large company that has never had a layoff in company history. Looking for someone with an eye to the future and who wants career growth. You should have a strong understanding of electrical basics. Experience with industrial automation (PLCs etc) desired but a solid electrical background and a desire to learn will work as well. This is an opportunity to learn PLC programming from scratch, as well as other skillsets that may be difficult to develop at other places. responsibilities:

• Program industrial automation, including PLCs, from scratch

• Motor controls and VFDs

• Troubleshoot and program robotic equipment / robots

• Troubleshoot and assist with preventive maintenance on all planned electrical equipment

• Assist with power distribution as needed

requirements:

• Experience with industrial automation desired (PLCs, VFDs, robots, etc)

• Experience with electrical industrial maintenance

• Must have a strong understanding of electrical basis and troubleshooting

• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts in an attractive schedule (4-day weekend every other weekend, 8-day off stretch every 6 weeks)
