Job Summary

The controller will lead all financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and analysis functions across all restaurant locations. This individual will develop actionable insights to drive profitability, streamline operations, and guide decision-making for both corporate and individual units.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts Perform variance analysis between actuals and budgets/forecasts Project year-over-year sales and scenario modeling Collaborate with General Managers and the operations team to track and improve key financial performance indicators
Reporting

Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership Analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements for individual restaurants and the overall business Produce intercompany bill-back entries for shared services and costs Review accounts payable and approve selected vendor payments Audit vendor statements to ensure invoices are up to date
Cost Control & Profitability

Monitor and analyze food, beverage, and labor costs Support and improve inventory management processes Lead initiatives focused on margin improvement and unit-level profitability
Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with internal financial policies Oversee month-end and year-end close processes in collaboration with accounting Assist with audits and maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Strategic Support

Develop financial models for new store openings and capital investments Oversee pricing strategy, vendor negotiations, and menu engineering initiatives Evaluate the performance and ROI of promotions and marketing campaigns
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus) 3-6 years of relevant finance experience, ideally within the restaurant or hospitality industry Strong understanding of restaurant unit economics and industry standards Advanced Excel skills; experience with QuickBooks or other accounting platforms Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying opportunities and risks
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
