Minimum Qualifications Appointment Process and Minimum Qualifications:

This Contract Management Specialist 2 position is permanent and is paid an annual salary. The Contract Management Specialist 2 is a competitive class position that requires an examination. Candidates that are eligible and whose scores are immediately reachable on the eligible list that results from this examination will be canvassed for this position. This position is tenure-bearing.

Minimum Qualifications:
52.6 Transfer Qualifications: This position is designated administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law and may be filled by administrative transfer under that section. Source titles from which transfer may be made must be designated administrative and be within two salary grades of the target title.

70.1 Transfer Qualifications: One year of permanent, competitive service in a title designated as appropriate for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Such titles include Associate Budgeting Analyst, Education Finance Specialist 2, Education Finance Specialist 3, Management Specialist 1, Management Specialist 2, and Office Services Manager.

Provisional Appointment: If there is no appropriate eligible list of at least three people willing to accept permanent appointment for this geographic location, the Department may nominate a qualified person for a provisional appointment under the provisions of Section 65 of the Civil Service Law.

Candidates appointed provisionally must take the next scheduled Civil Service examination for this title, and their score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before they can be permanently appointed. Candidates who do not pass the examination or achieve a reachable score may not be retained.

Provisional Appointment Qualifications: You must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Contract Management Specialist 1, G-18.

Duties Description The Contract Management Specialist 2 will supervise contract management and serve as the Division of Agricultural Development\'s expert internal consultant and facilitator for establishing contracts and is responsible for audit procedures and practices, analysis, and approval of vouchers, purchase orders, and contracts.
