Job Title: Contract Analyst (Contractor) Department: DNA & Forensics Reporting to: VP, Engineering, DNA&F and Transplant Management Location: Remote, North America Compensation: $50 - $65 an Hour Overview: The Contract Analyst (Contractor) is going to review, analyze and catalogue all DNA&F division client contracts and agreements, and extract a number of elements (for example, key dates, warranties, liabilities, assignability, support provisions, etc.) from each contract into a structured format. This position is a temporary contract position, ending upon conclusion of the project. Who: The ideal candidate has a multi-year professional background in contract law and contract analysis, with special focus on state and federal software contracts in the U.S. and in Canada. It is expected that the candidate has substantial understanding of relevant law in addition to typical requirements and business processes related to software procurement, delivery and support. Essential Functions:

  • Review, analyze and catalogue all DNA&F division contracts and agreements (primarily state and federal government agency contracts \xe2\x80\x93 U.S. and Canada)
  • Assist with the creation of a structured format for key elements of all contracts and agreements, including resolution of various inherent complexities (for example, conditional clauses and clauses that are not necessarily fully applicable to software delivery)
  • Extract key elements of all contracts and agreements into the defined structured format.
Qualifications:
  • A law degree, preferably with focus on contract law
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in contract review and/or analysis
  • Prior experience with state and/or federal government contracts and/or government procurement processes and related legal functions
  • A general understanding of software delivery and key business processes that may be referenced in a software contract
