WHAT YOU WILL DO

onX is seeking a Content Curator with a passion for inspiring people to expand their skills and teaching them to be more effective hunters. As a Content Curator for Hunting Education, you will leverage onX Hunt\'s extensive and fast-growing content library to curate collections, courses, and deep-dives for our customers to expand their knowledge and love of hunting.

Your focus will be on aligning video, audio, and written content for the purpose of moving customers along an education (and/or entertainment) path in a range of channels, including regular content audits, developing and maintaining a categorization/tagging taxonomy, identifying content gaps, and ensuring content from partners adheres to onX Hunt brand standards and weaves in logically with internally created content.

As a member of the Creative / Content Marketing team, you\'ll work closely with internal content creators to help assess and advise on content roadmaps to support education paths. You will also work closely with members of the Hunt Community team as liaisons to our extensive ambassador network to help identify opportunities and shape content coming from out-of-house contacts. Additionally, you\'ll interface regularly with the SEO, web development, and marketing automation teams to ensure customer experiences are consistent with a range of stakeholder goals.

This is a new role at onX and an exciting opportunity to shape a new approach to delivering our various education efforts to customers in a more consumable and organized way.

This position will report to the Head of Content Marketing.

As an onX Content Curator, your essential job duties and responsibilities will look like:

Work closely with the Head of Content Marketing, Creative Team, and Hunt marketing staff to scope, develop, and evolve education programming tracks and areas of emphasis.

Regularly audit content for efficacy, accuracy, and optimal deployment to achieve marketing goals.

Create/iterate a categorization and tagging taxonomy for onX Hunt content.

Work with stakeholders to maintain a rolling education content roadmap for in-house and out-of-house creators.

Serve as a point of contact, in concert with Hunt teammates, for ambassadors creating educational content to fulfill program needs and maintain onX Hunt brand guidelines.

Be a champion for content organization, both on the back end and customer-facing.

Copy editing, storyboarding, and outline creation as-needed to support content creators.

Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor

WHAT YOU\'LL BRING

Bachelor\'s degree in journalism, marketing, communication, or equivalent experience

4-6 years content strategy and/or instructional design experience

Strong understanding of storytelling and audience engagement

Organization skills

Ability to lead by influence and collaborate with stakeholders

Competency with web content management systems (Wordpress preferred)

Authentic knowledge of hunting terms and jargon

Education programming experience

Adept copy editor

Video/audio editing skills

onX has created a thriving distributed workforce community across several US locations. This position can only be performed from an onX corporate office, \xe2\x80\x9cBasecamp,\xe2\x80\x9d or \xe2\x80\x9cTalent Cluster.\xe2\x80\x9d

Corporate Offices: onX\'s was founded in Montana with offices in Missoula and Bozeman. If you prefer to work in an office at least part of the time this is a great option.

Basecamps: onX\'s Basecamps are established virtual workforce communities where a sizable number of distributed team members group for work, volunteering, socializing, and adventure.

Our current Basecamps are located within a 90-mile radius of the following: Austin, TX; Charlotte, NC; Denver, CO; Minneapolis, MN; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; and Seattle, WA.

Talent Clusters: onX\'s Talent Cluster locations are smaller, emerging communities of distributed team members.

Our current Talent Clusters are located within a 60-mile radius of the following: Boise, ID; Charleston, SC; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Richmond, VA; Spokane, WA; and Vermont.

HOW YOU\'LL BE COMPENSATED

onX is committed to compensating all employees fairly and equitably for their contributions. For this position, applicants can expect to make between $70,000 to $85,000 upon hire. The pay range will vary based on experience, skills, certifications, and education among other factors as required in the job description. In addition, full-time onX employees are eligible for a grant of common share options with a vesting schedule and a potential annual bonus of 10% based on company performance.
