Join us as the full-time Consumer Products (Lucasfilm & National Geographic) Marketing Strategy Intern where you\xe2\x80\x99ll help contribute to the go-to-market strategies and execution of marketing plans across a variety of franchises and key initiatives that will help drive business goals and top line demand. You\xe2\x80\x99ll have a chance to work with key contributors and partners across marketing strategy, creative, PR & communications, Disney centers of excellence, franchise/commercial teams, and more!

A Day in the Life\xe2\x80\xa6

You will be responsible for building, shaping, and implementing coordinated social communication plans, evaluating campaign creative, watching, and analyzing business performance and becoming an employee of a dynamic global marketing team. If selected for this role, you will report to the Senior Manager Marketing Strategy.

Your role will involve:

Collaborate on the development of marketing strategies and go-to-market plans sought at achieving our business objectives

Assist in crafting comprehensive communication plans across the team to ensure effective messaging and coordination

Engage in the evaluation of campaign creative and track approvals and status updates with external agencies

Dive into the analysis of business performance, helping uncover insights for informed recommendations and decision making

Watch program and product budgets to ensure financial objectives are met

Collaborate with teams to deliver assets, campaign pitch kits, toolkits and content while adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring updates are maintained

Provide insights into Gen Z trends and their ways of thinking, contributing to a generational perspective

Be an engaged and proactive team members, contributing actively to discussions and initiatives

Be responsible for overall project management and assist with ad hoc requests from the team

What we are looking for\xe2\x80\xa6

Marketing skills to develop strategic feedback, business proposals and marketing communication plans

Shown experience in strategic development and project management

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Keynote and presentation delivery

Marketing industry knowledge of trends and the latest innovations

Creatively minded with the ability to encourage creative teams

Required Education:

Undergraduate students in their senior year in (or recently graduated within the past six months) pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in marketing, business, communications or other related field

Internship Eligibility:

Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Must provide full work availability

All candidates must be able to work in the Glendale office and provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.

Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 through June 2024. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship (40 hours/week) Monday through Friday, with possible evenings and weekends if necessary.

Housing: Candidate must be able to provide own housing and transportation in the Glendale, CA area. The pay rate for this internship in California is $21.70 per hour.
