Role:

The Consumer Loan Operations Manager will collaborate in the management, growth, retention, product development and lead servicing procedure improvements for all AFFCU loan products.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervises team members to ensure lending and title functions are performed timely and accurately, policies and procedures are appropriately enforced and in compliance with federal and state regulations. Provide support to members and employees through the ongoing review of products, services, and delivery options.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Credit Union\xe2\x80\x99s lending programs which include loan funding and servicing, VISA credit card funding and servicing and Real Estate funding and servicing.
  • Coordinates lending, credit card and Real Estate funding and servicing training.
  • Educates and guides the department staff as well as others within the credit union on Lending policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with our card product and servicing partners to identify opportunities for growth and ensure campaigns are executed properly. Assists with post-campaign reporting.
  • Audit activities and various department functions to ensure timely, accurate and complete processing of operational processes, as well as compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure that department general ledgers are in balance. Work with the Accounting Department and related areas to resolve out of balance situations.
  • Strengthen critical relationships and build new relationships with third party vendors to provide excellent loan and card servicing.
  • Participate and give guidance in the continual innovation of loan products, credit card programs, and services.
  • Work with the leadership team to assure alignment, consistency, and prioritization of business priorities and resource requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of and adhere to the department\xe2\x80\x99s annual budget.
  • Continually evaluate service quality by setting, maintaining, and monitoring specific benchmarks to measure efficiency, accuracy, and leverage of current technologies.
  • Drive improvements to policies, procedures, and processes; re-engineer (as needed) to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
  • In collaboration with others, recommend and take actions to reduce and mitigate fraud loss. Ensure the Credit Union has a good understanding of card fraud indications, identification processes, and mitigation steps available.
  • Ensure Credit Union compliance with various Federal and network regulations, including but not limited to Regulation E, Regulation Z, Visa, Interlink, Plus, Star, and AFFN.
  • Appropriately escalate problems and present issues to all affected users. Assess steps and execute corrective action with vendors and staff while maintaining good communication and appropriate escalation to management, as needed.
  • Demonstrate an expert knowledge of the systems, regulations, policies, and procedures related to lending and card services functions and processes.
  • Understands the Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, and bylaws. Fulfills the Mission and Vision statements of the Credit Union.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
What you\'ll bring along:
  • Bachelor\'s degree (B.A.) in Business Administration from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of increasing responsibility in supervision of lending and mortgage loan funding and servicing in a financial services environment.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Reg E and Reg Z as it pertains to card transactions as well as other lending and mortgage regulations.
