Verizon Public Sector is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking communications professional with strong traditional, digital and social media experience to join its communications team.

Reporting to the Manager of Verizon Public Sector Communications, the Verizon Frontline Communications Manager will be responsible for the development, design and execution of external communications and content creation for Verizon Frontline, which represents Verizon\'s public safety business.

Responsibilities will include:

Designing, creating and overseeing the distribution of communications across multiple mediums (written, video, audio, in-person, social media etc.) that influence and engage external audiences including public safety agencies and public safety and emergency response media outlets.

Generating awareness, excitement and engagement for company and business unit priorities, product and service launches, business initiatives, emergency response efforts, etc.

Working closely with the Verizon Public Sector and Verizon Frontline executive leadership teams and partners to understand key priorities and focus areas in the public safety industry.

Partnering with the corporate, consumer, network and media PR teams to ensure that all communications plans are aligned.

Working closely with the Verizon Frontline Crisis Response Team to manage communications dealing with emergency response initiatives.

Leveraging the full resources of Verizon\'s communications team including a close partnership with the internal and employee communications.

Leading a variety of projects from conception to completion, on time, on budget, bringing the most impactful ideas to life in the best possible way.

This role may be considered as part of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.

What we\'re looking for\xe2\x80\xa6

You\'ll need to have:

Bachelor\'s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Four or more years of work experience.

Experience utilizing digital and social media channels to reach a specific audience.

Demonstrated metrics driven approach with hands-on experience using analytic and tracking tools for media relations.

Experience monitoring and evaluating competitive media intelligence and recommending appropriate strategies.

Experience preparing spokespeople with comprehensive background materials and talking points and staffing media interviews.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Previous experience supporting communications for a government or public safety agency or a technology firm with government/public safety customers.

Experience working with C-level executives across a matrixed organization.

Experience managing crisis communications situations.

Experience crafting content in a variety of formats while conveying a consistent voice.

Demonstrated strong process orientation with a clear track record of implementing best practices that bring simplicity, efficiency and the highest possible quality.

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Highly collaborative style and investment in the success of the team and the client organizations.

Excellent organization and time management skills.

Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, collaborative, proactive and flexible style.

Superb critical thinking skills and the ability to take a concept from ideation and strategy to execution autonomously.

Tenacious content creation skills, constant curiosity and a fascination for the world of technology and its broader societal impact.

Video and event production experience.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $87,000.00 and $162,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
