Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, pricing strategies, and contract management to deliver competitive bids and support the company's growth. The Construction Estimator will play a vital role in project planning, cost control, and ensuring profitability across various construction projects.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals. Conduct quantity take-offs and material pricing to ensure accuracy in estimates. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate prices and terms effectively. Prepare bid packages, including scope of work, pricing, and contractual documents. Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and update estimates as needed. Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual obligations related to project costs. Support project management teams by providing cost control insights during project execution. Stay current with industry trends, material costs, labor rates, and regulatory requirements affecting construction estimates. Contribute to continuous process improvements in estimating procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

Experience

Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects. Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, cost control methods, and pricing strategies. Demonstrated ability in negotiation with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms. Background in construction management or related fields is preferred. Experience with project management principles and construction site experience will be considered an asset. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of estimating work.

Pay: $55,864.31 - $67,277.45 per year
