Position Summary:
As the Estimator - Project Quotations, you will play a crucial role in driving the department's growth. This includes identifying and pursuing new opportunities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and strategically positioning Shepherd Electric Supply as a leader in project solutions.
In this role you will:
Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new opportunities in the commercial and industrial sectors to drive revenue growth.
Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our products and industry trends, offering insight that position Shepherd as a trusted advisor to customers.
Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, leveraging their resources to unlock new opportunities and enhance product offerings.
Customer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with existing customers, identify upselling opportunities, and ensure an elevated level of customer satisfaction.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales and operations, to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Market Research: Conduct regular market analyses to identify potential growth areas and recommend strategies for expanding our presence.
What you bring to the table:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development or sales, preferably within the electrical distribution or construction industries.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical products and their applications.
Skills: Proven ability to develop strategic relationships, negotiate contracts, and exceed sales targets.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM software is a plus.
Attributes: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Travel: Willingness to travel as required to build relationships and pursue business opportunities.
Compensation Details: The expected starting annual compensation for this position is $65,000 depending on experience.
