Key Responsibilities:
Set up and protect work areas according to project standards
Execute precise, high-quality carpentry work with minimal supervision
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Interpret shop drawings and specifications to produce restoration-grade carpentry assemblies
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and stay focused on tasks
Proficient in using finish carpentry tools including saws, drills, routers, planers, nail guns, and compressors
Skilled in operating woodworking machinery such as jointers, planers, lathes, sanders, and table saws
Familiarity with common wood species used in finish carpentry
Precision in measuring, cutting, and fitting millwork to within 1/32"-1/16" accuracy
Competent in using framing and speed squares for angle calculations
Ability to cut and cope miters for millwork installation
Capable of installing finish-grade millwork that is level, square, and true
Experience with layout and installation of casing, baseboards, crown molding, cornices, staircases, and other finish carpentry elements
Ability to read and interpret blueprints for layout and dimensions
OSHA 10 certification required before starting
Must be able to pass a federal security clearance
