Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Attend weekly team meetings
  • Attend/Schedule meetings with contractors
  • Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and licenses for construction activities.
  • Coordinate construction activities with internal stakeholders
  • Project manage communication contractors
  • Provide project status to internal and external customers
Create statements of work for cabling replacement
  • Collect customer requirements for replacement cabling in their spaces
  • Perform walkthroughs with staff and customers
  • Identify cabling pathways
  • Identify wall penetrations
  • Identify jack installation placements
  • Create SOW documentation for cable installation
  • Including marked up drawings showing cable pathways, jack locations and quantities
  • Submit SOW documentation to cable installers for quotations
  • Submit final SOW packages to Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for procurement submission
Help oversee cabling installations
  • Maintain installation schedule with installer
  • Ability to know all the essential job functions of a low-voltage Technician
  • Ensures that all technical, quality, safety, cost and profitability objectives are met while maintaining top level customer satisfaction
  • Regularly on-site at all assigned project sites
  • Quality assures projects in accordance with LINX and industry quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with all HR, Safety, and company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for compliance with the Project completion check list and all other project related documentation
Minimum Requirements
  • 10+ years of commercial low voltage experience
  • RCDD Certification or ability to get it within 3 months is required!
  • Must be a US citizen and able to pass 7-year background check and drug screen
  • Prior military experience is preferred
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager, overseeing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to use Bluebeam and document construction drawings
  • Good writing skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with contract administration and negotiation.
Pay Rate:

$85,000 - $92,000/year

Job Summary:

LINX is seeking an RCDD certified structured cabling system designer to oversee and manage commercial cabling installations from initiation to completion for a Boulder based large federal organization. The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of the commercial cabling process, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have their RCDD certification, a strong background in structured cabling system design and installation, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple vendors and relationships simultaneously.
