Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented insurance based Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for customer contact, onsite visits, signing up customers. you will be given the tools needed to assist you in completing scans and programs to allow you to work with customers and their insurance to get accurate scopes of work.
Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and completed within scope and budget. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while honing your skills in estimation, negotiation, and time management.

Responsibilities

Review home claims and insurance scopes to confirm a comprehensive construction estimate. Utilize estimating software such as Xactimate to prepare detailed cost proposals. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground information that influences accurate pricing and scope. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to negotiate costs and finalize contracts. Assist in bid preparation, proposal submissions, and post-bid negotiations to secure contracts. Coordinate with construction management teams to align estimates with project schedules and site realities. Monitor contract compliance and support project management teams in managing change orders and scope adjustments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations. Computer knowledge is a must, specific programs used will taught and trained once hired. Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and cost control practices. Xactimate knowledge is preferred but not required. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and management. Prior construction site experience is preferred to enhance understanding of field conditions impacting estimates. Familiarity with project management practices to support seamless project execution from bid to completion. Pay: $25,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
