Duties

Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates for commercial projects using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating tools. Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and material requirements. Develop comprehensive bid proposals, including pricing strategies and cost control measures. Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate costs and finalize contracts. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant data for accurate estimation. Monitor project budgets and perform cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning to ensure timely completion. Review contractual documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards. Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new construction techniques to improve estimating accuracy.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating within the commercial sector. Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software platforms. Strong knowledge of construction management, site operations, and contract administration. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Familiarity with cost control methods, pricing strategies, and project management principles. Construction site experience is highly desirable to understand field conditions impacting estimates. Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents. Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. A background in construction is required; relevant certifications are a plus.
