As a Construction Bookkeeper/Office Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects. Your expertise in accounting will ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date, supporting the overall success of our operations. You'll be at the heart of our financial processes, handling everything from accounts payable and receivable to payroll and budget analysis.
What you'll do
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Prepare journal entries and manage general ledger accounting activities.
Generate financial reports, providing insights into project budgets and expenditures.
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial data.
Collaborate with project managers to track costs and assist in budgeting efforts.
Create contracts and purchase orders.
Basic qualifications
At least 5 years bookkeeping experience in construction.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double-entry bookkeeping.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. (Must be spreadsheet proficient)
Preferred qualifications
Background in corporate accounting is a plus.
Experience construction industry accounting preferred.
Strong skills in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
Experience in AIA billing.
Experience with prelien notifications and lien releases
